If you want a bike that you can carry lots of stuff on, a cargo bike might be just for you. These are enourmously popular in Denmark, with lots of people using them instead of cars.

They are available with or without electric assist. If you planned on carrying 80 pounds of groceries or other stuff, the assist might really be the way to go. Also, if you are going to carry a lot of weight, really powerful braking is important. Some models come with hydraulic brakes, combined with vented disc brakes.

This model has an electric motor in the hub of the rear wheel. The battery is located right above the rear wheel.

The Ultra Motor A2B has a range of up to 40 miles with an optional 2nd battery.

Bicylce Pro Shop is carrying the new Giant Hybrid bike. They are electric, but you have to pedal to engage the assist, forcing you to get some exercise.
