Declaration of
Independence from
Foreign Oil Rally and a Parade of
Hybrid Cars.
July 4, 2004 saw a parade of highly efficient hybrid cars
in downtown Washington DC. The event was in part sponsored by
Friends of the Earth,
EcoStewards Alliance
and
Greenpeace. Despite on
and off heavy rain, participants helped raise awareness of low
polluting, fuel efficient hybrid vehicles.
