Angelina Jolie is certainly
known worldwide for her acting career. But she is emerging as
one of the most influential spokespersons for her humanitarian
work.
In
2001, she was named a United Nations UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
She has traveled widely to remote refugee camps and receiving
centers in countries including Tanzania, Namibia, Cambodia,
Pakistan, Thailand, and Ecuador.

United Nations Refugees Goodwill Ambassador and actress, Angelina Jolie. Ms. Jolie was in Washington to raise awareness about refugees through
her work as a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
Goodwill Ambassador.

recounting her experiences traveling for the
UNHCR. Writing about Ms. Jolie's

can have.
