If you're an environmentalist, you'll like Takoma Park. One of the most active environmental groups in the area, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, is head quartered here. You see tons
of hybrids around town. The co-op and other businesses have bulletin boards with lots of environmental and other activities listed.
